Wat
Bupharam (Wat Plai Klong)
Located in Moo 3, pattanakan Plai klong Rd, Tambol Wang Krajae, the
reign of Phra Chao Prasat Thong of Ayuthya. An ancient uposatha hall,
Buddha's footprint, Buddha image, ancient pagodas and Buddha relics
within the monastery await visitors to appreciate.

Wat Yotha
Nimit (Wat Bote)
Situated on Tesaban 4 Rd, near the spirit shrine of town, the temple
houses and old ordination hall decorated with wonderful murals. As
recorded in Thai history, King Taksin the Great gathered his army forces
here before driving Burmese troops out of the country

Town's Spirit
Shrine
Housed close to Wat Yotha Nimit, the shrine was believingly constructed by
King Taksin the Great. In those days, French naval officers, during their
occupation of Trat, tried to demolish this holy and revered shrine, but
unsuccessfully.

Residangamport
A 3-storey building with colonial architecture, located on Lak Muang Rd,
used to be the governor's residence before. At present, it has become a
governmental office.

Laem Sok
As one of Trat's most interesting attractions, the cape is located about
24 kms off Trat' Laem Ngob Rd. Apart from a shrine of Krom Luang Chumpon
Khet Udomsak, Laem Sok enjoys beautiful beaches, fishermen's villages,
Fresh seafoods here are internationally renowned. from this cape, visitors
could make journey to Koh Good and Koh Mak. diving facilities are
available.

Beach
Quiet and peaceful, the beach located about 10 kms off km 31-32 on Trat'
Klong Yai Road is ideal for rest and relaxation.

Wat Phai Lom
Located on Lak Muang Rd, the temple plays an important role in the
development of the province's education. Phra Wimol Methajahn, the father
of Trat's education, used to live in this monastery. Ideal for meditation
practice.

Vihar
Built in 1887, the temple located on a hill enjoys wonderful view of
forest and sea. With very beautiful uposatha hall, pagoda and other
buildings, the 116-year-old monastery is renowned among tourists.

Red Cross Center
Situated at km 48 on Trat' Klong Yai Rd, the center was founded by Her
Majesty the Queen in order to help the Khmer refugees. At present, the
center houses a museum displaying exhibition on the Queen's activities
and statues of Khmer refugees. Behind the center is located a beautiful

Country's Narrowest part
Located in Ban Khod Sai, Moo 2, Tambol Had Lek, at km 81-82, the part is
only 450 meters.

Ban Had Lek
Situated at he end of route #318 in Tambol Had Lek, about 16 kms away
from the district's office, the village is worth visiting. Visitors
could appreciate wonderful sceneries on the border.

Battle Monument
Housed at Laem Ngob, the monument comprises a statue of Krom Luang
Chumpon Khet Udomsak and a warshiplike museum. In commemoration of the
naval battle, annual celebration will be held from January 17 to 21.

National Park
Occupying an area of 650 sq.kms, the park comprises 47 islets located
from Amphur laem Ngob, Amphur Muang to Amphur Klong Yai, Natural wonders

Located south of Koh Chang, near Salak Pet bay. In the naval battle,
Thailand lost three royal warships and some of naval forces. In
commemoration of this historic event and devoting merits to the dead
naval forces, the Royal Navy will annually hold a religious ritual on
the 17th of January.

Waterfall
Situated south of Koh Chang, about 3 kms away from Ban Salak Phet' Ban
Rong Than Rd, the small-sized waterfall is inconveniently reached. No
water during the drought season.

Waterfall
Located behind the park's office, the medium-sized waterfall has four
levels. The royal monograms of King Rama V and Vl carved on the rocks
witness their visit to this beautiful waterfall.
